Madagascar: Tropical Storm and Cyclone

Through this preliminary Emergency Appeal, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is seeking 3 million Swiss francs to support Malagasy Red Cross (MRCS) to respond to needs generated by the projected impacts of Tropical Cyclone Batsirai and other weather systems. The strategy of the IFRC response focuses on the following priority areas: 1) Integrated Household Assistance (Shelter, Multipurpose Cash, and Livelihoods), 2) Health and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), and 3) Protection and Prevention.

The donation page is in Swiss Francs (CHF) and contributions will be debited in the equivalent of your currency. For indicative currency conversions you can look at: https://www1.oanda.com/currency/converter/

TAX DEDUCTION

Unfortunately, you cannot deduct a donation to the IFRC from your taxes. Please contact your local Red Cross or Red Crescent to see if donations to them are tax deductible​.
