Zambia - Cholera Outbreak MDRZM021

A cholera outbreak in Zambia, which was first reported in October 2023, has seen a dramatic increase in transmission since mid-December. The country has now recorded a cumulative 7,004 cases and 273 deaths, with over 500 daily new cases. The IFRC and its membership seek CHF 4 million (CHF 3 million of which is expected to be raised by the IFRC Secretariat) to support the Zambia Red Cross Society to reach 3,5 million people with life-saving assistance.
